CitroSteril New Deterferri is suitable for the decontamination, cleaning and manual disinfection of medical devices (instruments and surgical instruments prior to sterilisation), non-critical medical equipment and accessories, glassware, objects, equipment and washable surfaces in dentistry and hospitals. Also suitable for treating ultrasonic machines.
CitroSteril New Deterferri has a disinfectant action against bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi, HIV, HBV, HCV. It easily removes residual organic substances and solves decontamination and disinfection problems in the dental field.
It exhibits maximum biocidal activity with the necessary compatibility towards materials, even in the presence of hard water.
It has a pleasant fragrance and controlled foam. Thanks to the presence of surfactants and antioxidants, it is able to effectively solubilize the dirt present and, at the same time, protect medical devices from corrosion.
CitroSteril New Deterferri is to be used diluted at 2% in water. Already at 0.5% for 10 minutes of contact, it is active against bacteria and Candida; at 1% for 10 minutes it is active against HIV, HBV and HCV. Dilute 20 ml maximum per liter of water to produce decontaminating, virucidal, disinfecting, bactericidal, mycobactericidal and fungicidal solutions.
To improve the outcome of decontamination and sterilization, remove organic material adhering to instruments. Prepare solutions at the time of use and each time a decontamination and disinfection cycle is to be performed.
For decontamination treatment prior to sterilization: pour 20 ml of the product for every liter of water into the decontamination tray, immerse the instruments to be treated for at least 10 minutes, remove any residual organic material manually or with ultrasound, rinse the instruments thoroughly before sterilization.
For the decontaminating and disinfecting treatment of non-critical instruments and laboratory equipment: immerse the surfaces to be treated, allow to act for at least 10 minutes and, if necessary, remove them manually or with ultrasound. We recommend using lukewarm water. Once the operation is complete, rinse thoroughly and repeatedly. Renew the diluted solution after each use.
Store the product tightly closed, cool and dry, protected from light. Shelf life 5 years if unopened and correctly stored.
Do not use on disposable devices.
