Indications

SaniPeg®Fluid is indicated to treat the typical symptoms of constipation (reduced frequency and difficulty evacuating, hard stools, abdominal heaviness and bloating, flatulence, meteorism, etc.) and to prevent the formation of faecalomas that are difficult to expel

How does it work?

Macrogol is a water-soluble inert polymer with a high molecular weight that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake by retaining it in the feces.

It causes rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by aiding peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro electrolyte imbalances when taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

How to use?

Use the measuring spoon contained in the pack to dose the oral solution: fill it according to the dosage indicated below, using the references provided by the notches on the surface of the measuring spoon (first notch 5 ml, second notch 10 ml, third notch 15 ml and fourth notch 20 ml). A 20 ml scoop corresponds to approximately 2 tablespoons.

Adults and children over 12 years of age

  • 20 ml to 80 ml per day

The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 80 ml per day. The oral solution should be taken as it is. Immediately after taking the product, it is necessary to drink approximately 125 ml of water for every 20 ml of solution taken.

It is recommended that the product be taken in the morning if the minimum dose (20 ml per day) is taken.

Children aged 6 months to 12 years

  • 6-10 kg: 10 ml daily
  • 10-15 kg: 10 ml to 20 ml daily
  • 16-20 kg: 20 ml to 30 ml a day
  • 21-43 kg: 30 ml to 40 ml per day

The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 40 ml per day. The oral solution should be taken as it is. Immediately after taking the product, approximately 60 ml of water should be drunk for every 10 ml of solution taken. It is recommended that the product be taken in the morning if the minimum dose (10 ml per day) is taken.

The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on individual response to treatment, to allow for regular evacuation of soft stools. For higher doses, divide intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is noticed after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor
